Cork Element was conceptualised in 2019 in a cafe nestled in the heart of Lisbon. In this colourful city was a creative group of friends, who brainstormed ideas that compelled them to discard conventional fashion design and explore the world of sustainable design through Portuguese cork and craftsmanship. Cork element pushes to develop a success story focusing on disrupted conventional design mandates and creating its own unique design ideology. The creative essence is about simplicity in thought and action. Effective, usable design that compliments people’s lifestyles without being predictable or clichéd, while adding a touch of effortless flair to the modern-day lifestyles of the young hearts.

Handcrafted- all their products are manufactured by local artisans. All the artisans are treated fairly as there are strict fair trade rules in Portugal. Eco-friendly- Cork is 100% natural coming from the bark of a cork oak tree. The supply chain of the development of cork fabric is simple and traditional. Vegan - Cork is durable, water resistant and has antimicrobial properties making it a really good vegan alternative for leather.
